Where Did My Birthday Go?

Aging should be something we look forward to, because with age comes wisdom, and with wisdom comes acceptance…

THIS IS 38 🥳

Well, at least it was last week! Haha. I’ve been neck deep in ALL the things lately, and so this post is getting to you all a week late! Oh well… every since homeschooling my oldest, I’ve realized that my priorities can no longer be my own, at least for the time being… so I’ve done my best to accept this season and remember that it too won’t last forever!

Now that I’m OFFICIALLY in my late 30’s, there are several INS that I am making a priority this year (and hope that they inspire you to do the same):

  • Self-care (including acupuncture on a weekly basis)

  • Do more of the unknown

  • Make reading a priority

  • Uninterrupted kid-time

  • Be present in the moment

  • Fancy meals just because

  • Go out of my way to make others’ day

  • Listen to my gut

  • Speak my truth, no matter what

  • Love extra hard

  • Cuddle more

  • Live graciously

  • Make empathy a daily habit

  • Ignore the noise

  • Celebrate it ALL!

Are you a fan of getting older, or would you rather time start rolling backward…?!?!

By now, you all know that the beach is where my heart is, but I have to admit, there is nothing quite as serene as gazing over snow covered mountains (while huddled up in your warm cabin 😄 ). Here are 2 places I would love to visit - as long as the heater can be cranked to full blast!

Alpine Falls Ranch, MT

Get Ready For The Real Montana

Western Montana was the last frontier to be settled and their unspoiled terrain is strikingly cinematic. Have any of you seen BIG SKY?!

Skiing during the winter, or hiking and biking once the snow thaws, the mountains’ steep topography will reward you with alpine views and pristine glacial lakes. Every day you'll encounter new wildlife too, as the clean air and almost uninhibited terrain is where the animals (and some people too!), love to be.

Winter Sports

This hillside ranch is the perfect base camp for outdoor activities of all ambitions. The Ranch’s extensive road and trail system affords an array of solo and group adventures, so take your pick! From Ice skating and UTV tours, to downhill skiing and snowboarding, Silver Mountain, Snowbowl, and Bald Mountain are all nearby.

And remember, every one of these residences has a fireplace ready to be lit for when you return from the frosty fun. What's more, the Six8 Saloon will have a fire roaring with drinks ready to warm you up. Best of all, leave your bulky gear at home. All the equipment, gear and guides are available as needed - which I know is a definite must for our family of 6!

Sundance Mountain Resort, UT

Lodging at Sundance

If you haven’t been to Utah, you are missing out! And let me tell you, this Sundance Mountain Resort is definitely a place to visit! From cozy fireplaces to comfortable furnishings, every stay at Sundance will make you feel right at home. Whether you’re on a couples getaway or a family vacation, all their lodging options are the perfect place to settle in and unwind after a day of mountain adventure.

Things to Do

Whether you are a master skier, or looking to enroll your kids in a day camp, Sundance offers it all! They also have cross-country skiing available, as well as a spa, art studio, and various music and food events, to name a few!

This destination is fantastic because they offer passes that include a variety of fun and adventurous activities suitable for the whole family. Take the opportunity to explore this amazing place and make sure to have extra room in your suitcase, for ME :)

Thanks again for being here, your support means the world to me!
