What to Eat in February
Eating for the season is one of the easiest ways to keep your body running at its best!
Thanks to the fruits and veggies being at their peak, they contain more antioxidants (for immune health), they have to travel less to get to you (so they are fresher), and they simply taste a lot better, too!
Incorporating winter fruits and veggies, like butternut squash and pomegranates, will get you that extra boost of nutrients and antioxidants your body craves, as well as inspire you to make some dishes and meals you may have not otherwise. It’s also a great way to get your kids more curious about foods they have never tried!
Adding warming teas or broths, like ginger or miso soup, can also help keep you cozy during the chilly winter months. And don't forget to stay hydrated with plenty of water or herbal teas.
So next time you're meal planning or grabbing groceries, think about incorporating some of these seasonal fruits and vegetables into your meals for a nutrient-packed boost.
Remember, eating for the season is one small step you can take to support your overall health and well-being - and it will help you stay creative in the kitchen, too!
What’s the February fruit and/or veggie that you want to try this month?

With hints of Spring this past week, and with Texas temps getting up near 80, but then heading back down over the weekend, I’m definitely considering heading out West for a quick vacay, and these 2 hotels both look like they need a visit ;)

Vinland Hotel & Lounge, CA
Where Copenhagen’s Charm Meets California’s Climate
If you haven’t been to Solvang, you are missing out! Once of my all-time favorite places to visit as a kid, imagine a place where the streets are lined with Danish windmills and the hills are carved with winding horse trails.
A hop, skip, and short drive from Santa Barbara, the Santa Ynez Valley has been a purveyor of dreams for decades. And at Vinland, they help make those dreams even dreamier with an impeccable location, an incredible on-site lounge, and an inclusive, pet-friendly policy.
Vinland introduces a mesmerizing hotel experience to Solvang with its captivating room accommodations and iconic presence on Mission Drive. Between exploring vineyards in the surrounding countryside and enjoying an order of Viking-inspired foods poolside, don’t be surprised if you happen to forget that you’re still stateside.
Thanks again for being here, your support means the world to me!
